How to Add Echo to Audio

Echo is an audio effect which records an input signal to an audio storage medium, and then plays it back after a period of time. The delayed signal may either be played back multiple times, or played back into the recording again, to create the sound of a repeating, decaying echo. With Audio Editor Deluxe you can apply echo and precisely adjust the interval or amplitude. Download and install Audio Editor Deluxe to add echo to your music file.

1. Input an Audio File

Launch Audio Editor Deluxe. Click "Open" to activate a browser window, in which you can select an audio file from your computer. Then, click "Open" to input the audio file to program.

2. Select a Part

Select the part you want to add echo. If you do not make a selection on the waveform, the echo will be applied to the whole audio file. There are 4 ways to select a part: click anywhere of the waveform as a starting point and use hotkey like Shift+Home, Shift+End or Ctrl+A to select from start/end or all; click the left button and drag along with the waveform to the place wanted to be selected; specify the beginner & end of the session by moving the sliders below the waveform window; Input the start, end and length of time to choose a specific part at the bottom of the editor.

3. Add Echo Effect

Click the "Effect" tab and choose "Echo" effect. The settings window of corresponding effect will be activated. Specify detailed parameters or apply some popular presets to adjust the effect. Click "Preview" to listen to the music before adding the effects to the waveform to make sure you get exactly what you want.

Save File As - The file that has been edited can be saved with a different file name and/or location.
Save Selection As - to save just the highlighted selection to a file.
